I have to make a blog about a what i wanna learn in this class, and i personally just want to start making games, and avoid doing all this extra work. Seroiusly, just get me into a flash program already (: "btw... it was Max's idea for the smile face"

ReplyDeleteI understand about wanting to make your own game right now, but just imagine that if you are making a game to sell, you have to make sure that your audience or potential buyers are expecting to know your goals, how many hours you have put in, or what your reasons for creating this kind of game are. If you do not use blogging, learning logs, or game design explanation going, who would be interested in purchasing your game? Hence, all this extra stuff that people in gaming industry do all the time- real world is coming right here, into your classroom, so enjoy your class!
I have to agree. Nobody just goes off and makes a game. In the actual gaming industry people work in teams, share ideas and criticisms, work with other departments like marketing, finance, etc. The Globaloria experience will give you a good overview of many aspects of not just game design, but also communicating and interacting with others. This class is a valuable opportunity that you should take advantage of in its entirety.
